A special party is being held next month to say thank-you to those who helped and supported a family who lost a loving brother and son in May.
Nathan Thomas Moore, 18, died on May 27, after an eight-month battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer.
His death rocked his family and the community in Alnwick.
Since then Nathan’s family have received a lot of support and his friends have raised money for the Teenage Cancer Trust, which provides funds for the teenage cancer unit at Newcastle’s RVI where the teenager was treated.
Now his parents, Nigel and Sarah, and siblings Josh and Jess, are holding a party at Alnwick Rugby Club to say thanks for all the support and to announce a site which has been set up for fund-raising for the Trust in Nathan’s memory –www.justgiving.com/natmo
The event is being held at Alnwick Rugby Club, on Friday, November 8, from 7pm.
Tickets are being sold at the club and also at the Duchess’s Community High School by Nathan’s sister Jess and friends Erin Smith and Joe Phillips, costing £2 each with money going to the charity.
Nigel said: “We wanted to say thank-you to everyone and announce the website for people to raise money in Nathan’s memory.”
