Luxury holiday-homes operator Park Leisure Amble Links is to sponsor this year’s Puffin Festival in a £500 partnership with Amble Town Council.

As one of Amble’s most celebrated events, the Puffin Festival, which starts today and runs until Saturday, June 3, celebrates all things puffin.

It promises to be a fun affair and is staged at the best time of year to see the Coquet Island puffins, as they prepare to take care of their newly-hatched pufflings.

The festival will include a craft fair, guided nature walks, bird watching, local history talks, arts and crafts, watersports and live music. Events will be held in a variety of locations throughout the town and will cater for all ages.

Speaking on the exclusive partnership, Amble Links general manager Darren Fowler, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Amble Town Council to ensure the community continues to thrive.

“We’re dedicated to making this year’s coastal events such as the Puffin Festival the most memorable yet. It promises to be a fantastic event.

“Our owners love getting involved in what’s happening around Amble and we hope to continue our partnership for many years to come.”

Coun Craig Weir, of Amble Town Council, said: “We’re delighted to announce Park Leisure Amble Links as a partner for the Puffin Festival. The events are guaranteed to be fun-filled for all the family and this year is promised to be the best yet.”

Park Leisure Amble Links is a first class, home-owners’ holiday park located in Amble.
