Having been selected as the Next Generation candidate representing Glendale Agricultural Society at the Commonwealth Conference in Zambia, I wish to thank the following for their kind and generous sponsorship donations:
Glendale Agricultural Society; Mr Duncan Davidson Lilburn Towers; Sale and Partners, Wooler; Aln Veterinary, Alnwick; Bedmax, Detchant; Doug Frater; my parents, Geoff and Madeleine Frater.
I had a very successful and informative experience, gaining valuable information on world food consumption.
Without your help, I would not have been able to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

On behalf of the members of Rothbury Highland Pipe Band I would like to record a very big thank-you to all our supporters who donated prizes, made cash donations and attended our event on Saturday, November 3.
In addition, our thanks also go to the helpers who manned the stalls, made the coffee and generally made the event a success.
We raised £635, which will be a great help with the cost of keeping our band running.

May I say a huge thank-you to everyone who attended/contributed to my 60th birthday party charity night held at Alnwick Rugby Club on Friday, October 26, in aid of HospiceCare North Northumberland and Children With Cancer UK.
The total amount raised was £1,300, which has been divded equally between the charities.
Thanks also to the staff of Alnwick Ruby Club and to ‘Before the Mast’ for providing the night’s entertaiment.
Amazing night for our son
We just want to say a huge thank-you for all the support we received at Saturday night’s Hallowe’en fund-raiser held to raise money for the expenses involved in taking our son, Aidan, to his many appointments at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.
Aidan was born with a number of complex and extremely rare disabilities, and while his conditions are so rare that even though he’s nearly two we don’t know what the future will hold for him, it meant the world to us that so many people attended and gave up their time to help.
We’d like to say a special thank you to singer Rachel Ann Scott and DJ Jimmy Flynn and to Ann and Guy at Alnwick Working Mens Club.
In total, we raised £2,024 which is much more than we ever expected and will be a huge help to us when we’re next down in London in December.
We hope that 2013 will see Aidan turn a corner with the start of a number of surgeries to improve his quality of life.
So thank you again to all those who attended and helped, it was an amazing night.
Aidan is a special little boy and we realised on Saturday night just how many special people he has around him.
