CLUB: Donations are very welcome
The club was started in February 1979 by the then WRVS and since then has met in Alnwick once a week for anyone who has suffered a stroke and lives in North Northumberland.
It is thanks to the foresight of those original RVS ladies – Margaret Hill, Annice Waddell, Joan Pringle and Mig Slater – that the club has kept going for more than 36 years.

Hide AdAt present we have a full membership of 17, who travel from Belford, Seahouses, Amble, Alnmouth, Longhoughton, Shilbottle and Alnwick, and nine unpaid RVS volunteers.
At the end of the 2015-16 financial year on March 31 we had our first deficit, amounting to £1,900, so Margaret’s friends’ donations are more than welcome.
