Opening up digital library to all readers

Book-lovers from the Belford area are invited to learn more about downloading e-books or digital copies of favourite titles.

Bell View is working with Northumberland libraries to put digital media at the fingertips of library members.

Users can browse the titles available and download to enjoy on all major computers, tablets and e-readers. Titles automatically expire at the end of the lending period so there are no late fees.

Centre Manager Paul Harrison said: “There has been a huge increase in people accessing media through electronic devices, which for some can seem daunting or an impossible task. We want to break down those barriers and enable older people in particular to enjoy the option of e-books.”

Those interested can give it a go for free on Wednesday, October 16, from 2pm until 3pm, at Bell View on West Street.
