Members of the Duke’s School’s class of 1964 returned to Alnwick last weekend to visit their old school.

They were met by prefects Isabelle and Emily who showed them round the building before stopping for coffee and reminiscing.

The ‘boys’ enjoyed their visit and were happy to share their memories, both happy and sad, of their time at school.

Some of the boys had been boarders when the school used to have pupils boarding through the term.

Although many changes had been made, the boys said they felt that they had stepped back in time in some parts of the school.

The visitors included Phil Shaw, Gordon Downie, Andrew Horsburgh, Steve Hall, Wayne Lambert, George Taylor, Alistair Storey and John Errington MBE.
