Plans to convert a village church into a recording studio, performance space and multi-use hall have sparked concerns for some local residents.
The scheme, for Thropton United Reformed Church, has been put forward by the Coquetdale Music Trust.
The church is grade II-listed and while it has put forward several conditions, Northumberland Conservation has no objection to the scheme.
Therefore, the proposals are recommended for approval at next week’s meeting of the north area planning committee.
But six letters against the plans have been received and the main points of objection are around parking, noise and the overall function of the building.
A decision will be made at next Thursday’s meeting of the north area planning committee, which takes place in Alnwick Council Chamber at 6pm.
