A Rothbury woman has been fined and banned from driving after pleading guilty to five different offences.

Caroline Jackson, of Addycombe Gardens, admitted drink-driving, theft and three charges of assault.

The 30-year-old has been disqualified from driving for 16 months after she was found to be 28 micrograms over the prescribed limit.

Jackson was also convicted of stealing five jackets from a property in Thropton.

She was ordered to pay £270 in compensation and costs to the court and was placed on a curfew until July 2 in relation to the theft and the three charges of assault.

Jackson was ordered to pay an additional £50 compensation for one of the assault charges.
