A retrospective bid for planning permission for a dormer window at a property in Harbour Road, Beadnell, looks set to be refused as it is considered inappropriate within the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
Beadnell Parish Council has also objected.
• A rear extension and a detached garage at a property in Rennington look set to get the green light at tonight’s meeting. The size of the extension has caused concern among neighbours, sparking five objections, but the scheme, at 1 Southfield, is recommended for approval by the planning officer.
• Bamburgh Parish Council and the county council’s planning officer are at odds over a scheme for a side extension and sunroom extension to the rear at a property in Links Road. The officer says that the extension ‘will not have a detrimental impact on the visual or
residential amenity of adjacent neighbours’.
• A number of neighbours as well as the parish council have expressed concerns about proposed alterations to Eastfield in Low Newton-by-the-Sea. Nonetheless, councillors are recommended to approve the application for a side extension, two dormer windows in the rear roof slope and four roof lights.
