A new dedicated yoga centre with physiotherapy treatment rooms has opened in the heart of Alnwick.

Tru Physiotherapy and Yoga provides a range of yoga classes for all abilities and fitness levels. Tru launched in Fenkle Street on September 5, offering over 15 sessions of yoga a week.

Now the business is inviting everyone to have a look round during an open day on Saturday, from 10am to 2pm, to meet the team and learn more about what is on offer.

The centre was founded by Rebecca Broderick and Tracey Mortimer, who are passionate about health and making yoga available to all. They have a collective experience of more than 40 years in yoga teaching and practice, physiotherapy and sports massage.

The centre will offer classes from Hatha to aerial yoga, one of the latest crazes in the industry, which continues to grow in popularity.

It uses specially rigged hammocks to suspend participants throughout the class for the ultimate yoga experience.

Customers will also be offered yoga workshops, chair yoga, tai chi, pilates, meditation and mindfulness sessions in a packed timetable designed to be suitable for all.

The refurbished property has been converted to create a serene environment for yoga lovers and patients visiting one of the three treatment rooms.

Rebecca, who is relocating her successful practice from Amble to Alnwick, is also offering physiotherapy treatments for a wide range of medical conditions and injuries.

Additionally, the rooms are being made available to selected local health practitioners who use reiki, acupuncture and sports massage.
