Countdown star Rachel Riley has helped spread the appeal for missing Northumberland woman Sally Allen to be found.
Mum-of-three Sally Allan, 59, left her home in Errington Road, Darras Hall, Ponteland, in the early hours of Boxing Day and was last seen 11 miles away on the Quayside in Newcastle at around 6am. She was believed to be wearing pink pyjamas, a cream-coloured fleece and cream-coloured Regatta waterproof anorak.
TV presenter Rachel has asked her 399,000 Twitter followers to retweet her message about Sally's disappearance.
She tweeted: “Please RT spread this far and wide - a friend’s Mum is missing from Newcastle since Boxing Day.”
Sally and her husband Gordon, 60, have three children, David, 28, Claire, 30, and Clive, 32.
Rachel's message has so far received around 700 retweets and 100 likes. She has also retweeted the original Search 4 Sally post, which has been retweeted more than 1,700 times and liked by nearly 150 people.
Rachel is the second high-profile celebrity to join the #Search4Sally campaign after comedienne Sarah Millican also tweeted about the appeal.
Sally is described as white, 5ft 7" tall, slim build, with short silver/grey hair and may be wearing gold-rimmed glasses. It is out of character for Sally to go missing.
Anyone with information to help is asked to contact police on 101.
