Missing Northumberland man found

A Northumberland man, who was missing since Tuesday morning, has been found by police.

Matt Adams, from Longhorsley, has been found this afternoon by police in the Tritlington area of Morpeth.

The 34-year-old is suffering from minor cuts and bruises and has been taken to Wansbeck District General Hospital to be checked.

Earlier today, Matt’s partner Fiona Leighton, who had reported Matt missing from their Drummonds Close home, had made a plea for him to come home.

Northumbria Police officers, supported by the force’s mounted and dog section and Mountain Rescue, were spending a third day trying to locate Matt.

House-to-house inquiries were continuing and the mobile police station was once again parked in the centre of Longhorsley for people to go along and talk to officers.
