The Government’s Energy Secretary was impressed by the range of renewable energy businesses that he met during a visit to Alnwick yesterday.
At a forum with business owners from the alternative energy sector, Liberal Democrat Ed Davey discussed a number of issues ranging from dealing with properties without mains gas and electricity to subsidy schemes for green technologies.
Speaking to the Gazette, Mr Davey said he was very impressed by the ‘innovative approaches’ being taken by those he met.
“It’s good to talk to people at grassroots level to discuss what is working and what isn’t working so well so I can go back to my department in Whitehall and make sure we are doing the right things,” he added.
