Lowick Gardening Club’s events organiser has put together a terrific programme of events and outings for 2015 to include presentations, short talks, workshops, plant sales and quizzes.

This year too our members’ open gardens evening in July will conclude with a BBQ.

The windy weather in January so far has not been very conducive to getting outside in the garden but there are already signs of the early bulbs showing through. With thoughts of early flowers in mind, we are organising a group visit in February to Howick Hall Gardens for their annual Snowdrop Festival.

Our first meeting this year will be at 7.15pm on February 3, at Lowick Village Hall. At this meeting Carol Macleod will give a talk entitled Fill Your Garden With Colour The Gertrude Jekyll Way.

Preceding Carol’s talk, a member of Bowsden Camera Club, Derek Snee, has kindly agreed to give us a presentation that offers advice about taking photographs in our gardens.

We welcome non-members and the small admission fee will be refunded if you decide to join the club.
