Lost insulin sparks police warning in Northumberland

Police in Northumberland are appealing for anyone who finds lost medication to contact them straight away.

Officers are also warning of the dangers of taking medication which is not prescribed to them after the loss of insulin was reported to police yesterday afternoon.

The medication was inside a bag that was lost in the Market Place or Ford Drive areas of Blyth on Sunday.

The insulin is in a clearly-marked box which contains two packets of cartridges, labelled Humulin 3ml. There were also 100 needles and an injecting pen.

Police are appealing for anyone who has found this medication, or may know where it is, to hand it in to police.
