The festival this week received another boost with the delivery of its own roving guerrilla kitchen, which will appear at various points over the weekend.
The mobile kitchen unit was designed and built by Alnwick-based kitchen and bathroom company, Outlook.
Festival director Karen Larkin said: “The guerrilla kitchen is a popular feature and allows the event’s chefs to perform impromptu demonstrations in the Market Square and beyond.
“Having our own specially-built mobile kitchen unit will allow our professional chefs greater flexibility to cook and prepare impromptu dishes.
“Once again we are extremely grateful to Outlook for its continued support to the event.”
Outlook’s Ben Keenan this week officially handed over the guerrilla kitchen to Karen in preparation for the festivities.
“We’re a long-established family firm based in Alnwick and are delighted to support the festival, now in its eighth year. It’s important local businesses get involved and help to further establish the event as a major attraction within the town’s event calendar. The benefit to the town, surrounding area and local businesses reaches out beyond the festival weekend.”
