WATCH: Michael Bateman ice-bucket challenge for Jam Jar Army

Waiting for Video...

The general manager of Alnwick’s The Plough has taken part in the ice-bucket challenge in aid of the Gazette’s Jam Jar Army beneficiary, the Stephen Carey Fund.

Michael Bateman decided to do things a bit differently to the normal social media craze, which is seeing people have buckets of ice or water thrown over them originally for the Motor Neurone Disease association.

But Michael decided to raise money for a fund closer to home.

The team paid £5 each to throw water over him.
