WATCH: Amble honours its First World War dead

Waiting for Video...

A remembrance service was held at Amble West Cemetery this morning where poppy posies were laid on nine Commonwealth graves and two minutes’ silence observed to mark the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War.

Then a parade, led by Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, made it’s way to the Town Square War Memorials. Wreaths were laid on behalf of organisations and individuals placed small crosses in a grass area to honour every person named on the town memorials.
