A member of the public played a prank on the county council’s civil enforcement officers by issuing a fake ‘ticket’ on their van’s windscreen.
The van, which was marked with Northumberland County Council branding, was parked in the Market Place in Alnwick, but was said to have been in one of the 30-minute bays for longer than the permitted time limit.
And the prank was caught on camera by alncom.
The video shows two civil enforcement officers returning to the vehicle and removing the ticket.
However, the county council has said that any vehicles which are used as part of statutory duties, as in this case, are exempt from any time limits.
