A service of thanksgiving and a parade to celebrate the anniversary of the Battle of Britain was held in Alnwick on Sunday.

The Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland led a parade from St Michael’s Church following the service.

The Duchess of Northumberland takes the salute accompanied by her husband the Duke of Northumberland and RAF Boulmer station commander Group Captain Paul Atkinson.

The Duchess of Northumberland, in her capacity as Lord Lieutenant of Northumberland, took the salute on a dias in Alnwick town centre accompanied by the Duke of Northumberland and RAF Boulmer Station Commander Group Captain Paul Atkinson.

Parade personnel consisted of RAF Boulmer officers, Air Training Corps cadets, veterans and standard bearers.
