Festive delight in Northumbrian Village
Bamburgh was lit up on Saturday night as the village hosted its Christmas lights switch-on
The event saw a special guest do the honours as Olympic medallist and BBC commentator Brendan Foster switched on the lights, helped by his granddaughter Florrie, three, and 11-year-old Alex Sprott,
A specially-commissioned life-sized nativity carved from Northumberland oak also took centre-stage.
Crafted by wood-carver Ross MacNeil, the traditional nativity scene features Mary, Joseph, three kings and a shepherd, as well as the all-important crib.
