Updates on state of repair within village

Councillors have received their monthly update on the state of paths and verges around Rothbury.

One resident had contacted the clerk regarding the path, steps and white railings near to the Gallery, which are in need of attention. As well as a tree branch to trim, there is grass on the path and small patch of grass needing to be cut.

However, the painting work had been carried out recently and it was agreed to action clean-up works.

The pavement near Orchard Guest House is in need of repair, but has been put on the Local Transport Plan for next year. It was agreed to contact the county council to see if works can be carried out as a matter of urgency.

The RAF Memorial had been weeded and plants removed.

The Riverside toilets have now closed with directions placed on the building to highlight the Bridge Street facilities.
