The boat where the bodies of two men were found at Whitby has been named.

The vessel involved in a harbour tragedy has been named.

Yesterday morning, two men, believed to be from Amble, were found dead on board the boat at Whitby harbour.

Last night, the Marine Accident Investigation Branch confirmed that the vessel is the M220 Eschol, a visiting boat from Milford Haven in Wales.

The group added that the investigation into the death of the two men is underway, but carbon monoxide poisoning is the suspected cause.

The identity of the men has not yet been released by North Yorkshire Police.
