A busy Alnwick road is set to be closed for a fortnight for roadworks to take place.
An order has been made for work to take place on Wagonway Road and Willowburn Avenue (the U3129) from Monday, August 25 to Friday, November 28.
From Monday, September 29, to Friday, October 10, the road will be closed along its entire length.
Diversions will be in place along the A1068 and the B6346, South Road.
The closure is in place for resurfacing works.
Alnwick town and county councillor, Gordon Castle, said: “This will be a considerable two weeks of disruption, I expect, but it is very much needed.”
Work will be done in sections to minimise disruption to those living along the route. Residents will also have access in and out of properties.
