High winds and big waves battered the Northumberland coastline again this afternoon as another high spring tide struck.
Although it was not as severe as the spring tide that caused extensive problems on December 5 last year, the Environment Agency had warned of the risk of coastal flooding.
A flood alert was issued for this weekend, with flooding possible to low-lying land, roads and walkways, as the high tide heights and weather conditions brought onshore winds and big waves.
The coast was particularly at danger between 3pm and 6pm today. This video was shot at 4pm, when the surge was at its height, at Seaton Point, near Boulmer. Further high spring tides are expected tomorrow and Monday.
