More than 100 council tenants attended Homes for Northumberland’s tenants’ conference at Alnwick Castle.

The theme of the Saturday, October 27, event was Be King of your Castle.

The day invited residents to find out how they could get more involved and make a difference in their housing company.

As well as offering tenants an opportunity to join together to voice their opinions, participants also took part in a range of interactive workshop sessions, with topics including access to services and improving grass-cutting.

The response from residents on the day was very positive.

Kevin Lowry, managing director at Homes for Northumberland, said: “We are now in the process of gathering all of the feedback we received on the day and approaching those tenants who are keen to get more involved in shaping their housing company now and in the future.”
