Success for tourism businesses in regional awards

North Northumberland took home three gold awards from last night’s North East England Tourism Awards.

At a ceremony at the Sage Gateshead, Seafield Caravan Park in Seahouses won the Caravan Holiday Park/Holiday Village of the Year Award and Kielder Water & Forest Park took home the title for Tourism Experience of the Year.

Blacksmith’s Cottage won the gong for Self Catering Holiday Provider of the Year Award, followed in second place by the Gate Lodge, belonging to Cheviot Holiday Cottages.

There was also a silver award for St Cuthbert’s House in Seahouses in the Bed & Breakfast/Guest Accommodation of the Year Award category.

Winners from the regional heats go on to compete alongside the best of UK tourism in the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
