A classic and vintage rally was held at the Aln Valley Railway last weekend.

The event took place at the Lionheart Station site in Alnwick on Saturday and Sunday. Vehicles included an Austin 7, Morris Minors, MGs, an Alvis, an E-Type and a V8 Cadillac.

Other exhibits were two classic Bedford vans, Commer and Leyland 
Tiger coaches, and a range of 
tractors.

There was also a selection of classic motorbikes and traction engines.

Visitors enjoyed brake-van rides behind ex-Whittle Colliery diesel locomotive 615.

l A car-boot sale is being held at the Lionheart Station site this Sunday.

Gates open at 10am, with sellers’ entry from 9am.

Cars are £10, vans £13. Suggested admission donation for buyers is £1 per adult.

There will be diesel train rides, while the cafe, shop and museum will be open.
