School snaps up top award again

Nunnykirk School for Dyslexia has been awarded a Good Schools Guide subject award for the quality of teaching and GCSE exam results in art and design (photography) for the fourth year in a row.

Headteacher Carol Hodgson said: “The Good Schools Guide has become the place to go if you want impartial advice on an independent or specialist school for your child so we are very pleased to have been given one of their special subject awards again for our photography exam results.

“The creative arts have always featured highly at Nunnykirk and photography in particular has produced excellent exam results and a number of our former pupils have gone on to have successful careers in this field.”

All pupils at Nunnykirk who sat the photography GCSE this year passed with 100 per cent Grade C and above, including 50 per cent with A* grades.
