Sally takes the plunge to help hospice

Teacher Sally Douglas is taking the plunge to raise funds for HospiceCare North Northumberland. Sally, 36, who teaches at Hipsburn First School, Lesbury, is doing a sponsored skydive after losing a friend to cancer last year.

It will take place in Portugal over the Easter holidays.

Headteacher Dot Charlton said: “We are all delighted to support Sally because we value the work of the hospice. It also gives the children an opportunity to see their teacher taking part in a personal challenge and giving something back to the local community.”
