Police investigating the theft of digger and trailer in Northumberland are making a fresh appeal for witnesses to come forward

And the owner of the property is offering a reward for information which leads to the conviction of the offender and the recovery of the stolen property.

The theft happened between 10am on Monday, March 24, and 11.10pm on Tuesday, March 25, when a Landrover parked on private land at Hepple had an attached trailer stolen.

The trailer is a silver coloured, 2.5-tonne Indespension steel trailer. On it was a yellow Case CX15, 1.5-tonne digger which was also stolen, along with some cast-iron guttering.

The stolen property is worth £7,000. Another vehicle will have been used for the trailer to be attached and stolen from the location.

Police are continuing to appeal for information about the whereabouts of the property, the people responsible for the theft or anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to get in touch.

The owner of the stolen trailer and digger is also offering a reward for information which leads to the conviction of the offender and the recovery of his stolen property.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 101 ext 69191, quoting reference 196, 26/03/14, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
