Police are encouraging residents to report suspicious behaviour after a spate of criminal damage and vandalism in the Alnwick area.
During July, there have been seven incidents of this nature reported to officers. Three of these were identified as neighbour disputes.
Alnwick Neighbourhood Inspector Paul Truscott said: “Criminal damage can have a big impact on a community like Alnwick and it’s important that residents report all incidents of vandalism to us as soon as possible.
“Mindless criminal damage will not be tolerated and we will do everything we can to stop those responsible for causing it.
“We have extra patrols around Alnwick during the summer months and we are here to help residents, deter criminals and ensure that the area remains a safe and pleasant place.”
To report an offence call police on 101 ext 69191.
