Pupils bid farewell to Margaret

Pupils at Halbottle Church of England First School said thank you and farewell to Margaret Ward at a celebration assembly as she retired as chair of governors after 25 years.

Mrs Ward led the school in many projects that will ensure a long-term legacy in her name.

Headteacher Rev Sue Joyner said: “The school received an Ofsted ‘outstanding’ judgement at its last inspection. This was due very much to Mrs Ward’s influence.”
