A presentation of outline proposals to transform The Paddlers area in Amble will go on show on Monday.
The draft plans, pictured, have been put together by consultants, working on behalf of the town council.
Features include sculptural and water play and a fitness trail.
The outline proposals will be available on Monday at the town’s Fourways 2, from 2pm to 5pm, and then later that day at the Amble Parish Meeting, in the same venue, from 6.30pm.
Peter Monaghan, of MCSquared Consult Ltd, said: “We have given the town council some ideas for regenerating The Paddlers area. The town council hopes that residents will put forward their comments to refine the draft proposals.”
The state of The Paddlers area, which consists of two disused paddling pools and an adjacent playground, has long been a source of complaint.
Members of the public are being encouraged to attend Monday night’s parish meeting. As well as a presentation about The Paddlers proposals, the agenda will include an annual report from the town council and the town’s plans to mark the centenary of the First World War.
