Pride of Northumberland

PEOPLE who make a difference to their own lives, the lives of others or to their community often go unrewarded.

But the Pride of Northumberland Awards 2010 is going to change that.

For the second year, the Pride awards will put individuals and groups in the spotlight to show recognition for what they have achieved.

You have just one more day to enter your nominations.

There are nine categories from which to choose – Child of Courage, Child of Achievement, Role Model, Safer Community, Community Champion, Community Group, Green Champion, Fund-raiser of the Year and Sporting Achievement.

Maybe someone you know has succeeded against the odds, or kept your community safe and free of trouble. Whoever it may be, make sure you enter them to get the reward they deserve.

Nominations close at 5pm tomorrow. A shortlist of three entries per category will then be drawn up and the winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Alnwick Garden on Thursday, September 9.

To nominate your hero visit www.northumberlandgazette.co.uk and click on the Pride of Northumberland tag.
