Reflecting on her new book, Caroline said: “It is a romantic comedy set in a beautiful, quirky Northumbrian castle, inspired by the wonderful Chillingham Castle and the countryside around it.

“It is all about having the courage to strive for your dreams; something that I have done in recent years, when into my 40s, I decided to try to get the novels I had been writing over the last 10 years published. It took a while, and I learnt from the rejections, picked myself up and kept going. And then in 2014 it really happened when I got a two-book deal with Harper Collins and my debut novel was published in March 2015.”

The Cosy Teashop in the Castle is available online at Amazon and WHSmith, and will hopefully be in bookshops soon.

Caroline added: “The publication date was last Thursday and it has been doing really well in the Amazon Kindle charts so far. The paperback is already available through Amazon.”
