Proposals for Alnwick’s new high school go on show to the public next week.
Miller Construction, which won the contract to rebuild all 12 schools in the North East being funded via the Priority School Building Programme, is holding a public exhibition at the Duchess’s Community High School on Tuesday, from 4pm to 7pm.
This community engagement will help inform a planning application, at which point a formal consultation will take place.
As reported in the Gazette last month, the scheme to rebuild the school at Greensfield will be shifting into top gear throughout the rest of the family.
It is hoped that a planning application can be submitted in August ahead of a target start date on site between December this year and February 2015.
This would mean a final handover in August 2016.
