The body of 92-year-old Northumberland man Thomas Diggle who was reported missing from his home on Thursday, March 27, has been found.
Northumbria Police say Mr Diggle was discovered in water at the Northumbria Water transfer station in Riding Mill, Hexham, yesterday.
The body was recovered and has been identified as the missing Corbridge man. His next of kin have been informed.
Officers believe there was no third party involvement in his death and a report has been prepared for the coroner.
