The Stephen Carey Fund unveils its latest defibrillator at Tweedmouth Bowling Club.

The Stephen Carey Fund unveiled its latest defibrillator up towards the border this week in front of a packed Tweedmouth Bowling Club.

David Wilson, from the fund – this year’s Jam Jar Army beneficiary, said that the committee was aware that they hadn’t really covered that area of north Northumberland until now and this device partially addresses that issue.

George Meakin, spokesman for Tweedmouth Bowling Club, thanked all those involved and said: “We are delighted to have a defibrillator on the site, but we can’t stress enough that it is not just for the benefit of the club but the whole community.

“We pride ourselves in being a community club and this installation is simply an example of that sentiment.”
