A series of public workshops in green wood craft are taking place this autumn.

The project has been set up by Jon Purkins and is supported by the Northumberland Coast AONB.

The aim of the project is to raise awareness of and increase the numbers of people involved in green wood crafts and to help support the creation of a local green wood crafting group.

The Small Axe Workshop Project Autumn 2012 comprises 10 full-day sessions held in beautiful locations near Alnwick. The public is invited to attend any one or more of the sessions.

They will run on Saturdays and Sundays from October 27 until November 25 and cost £40 including materials. This represents one project, so two people working together are charged as one.

Children over the age of 14 are welcome if supported by an adult and age 16 to 18 years by arrangement.
