Images of charity box suspect released

Police have released CCTV images of a man they need to speak to after a charity box was stolen in Northumberland. It happened on Tuesday, October 2, at 4.13pm at Alnmouth Post Office, when a purple-coloured charity box with cash inside was stolen from the counter.

Police have released CCTV images of a man they need to speak to after a charity box was stolen in Alnmouth.

The theft happened on Tuesday, October 2, at 4.13pm at Alnmouth Post Office, when a purple-coloured charity box with cash inside was stolen from the counter.

PC Paul Sykes said: “We’ve been carrying out a number of enquiries into the theft and now have some CCTV images of a man who may be able to help with our enquiries. I’d urge him or anyone who recognises him to get in touch with police as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191, or independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
