The appearance of a world-famous DJ at an Alnwick nightspot has been hailed as the club’s best night yet.
Judge Jules, famed for his Radio 1 show, performed a set at I Won’t Tell on Saturday, in front of a sell-out crowd.
Mark Jones, from the town venue, was delighted with how things went.
Posting on the I Won’t Tell Facebook page, he said: “Cheers to everyone for an amazing night.
“Judge Jules commented on how crazy the Alnwick crowd were, best night the club has had to date for me.”
Securing the Judge was something of a coup for the nightspot.
Incredibly, the British dance music DJ was at Ibiza’s Eden nightclub the evening before he performed at I Won’t Tell.
The 46-year-old has been a professional DJ for more than 25 years and has won accolades such as Best DJ (Muzik Awards), Best International DJ (Dancestar Awards) and Best Radio DJ at the Smirnoff Dancestars.
And the gig went down a storm.
A number of people sounded their appreciation on Facebook after the Judge’s set.
Dan Saunders said he had an unreal night and loved it while Karen Bernice Hope wrote: “Well done to Mark Jones for supplying such a fantastic DJ from Ibiza. Well done to all involved.”
Michael Taylor added: “Seen him five times in different countries. All as good as each other. Pure quality night. Nice set Judge, cheers.”
I Won’t Tell is fast building a reputation for securing hot acts.
Jules is just the latest big name to perform at the venue.
In July, chart-topping urban music star Tinchy Stryder presented his Insomniacs DJ set .
A few months before, Jack Eye Jones, one of the country’s most high-profile DJs, who has packed out clubs in London and Ibiza, performed at the venue.
Mark believes he can build on the momentum and is confident that he can secure more high-profile guests in the future.
He told the Gazette that the club has been contacted by other DJs saying that they want to appear.
