Plans have been submitted to create a central hub, lodges, hydrotherapy spa, pool gym and more at a residential home near Harbottle.
Wilkinson Park cares for mainly adult males with varying degrees of mental health problems.
Run by Careline Lifestyles, it offers a facility which gives residents with high dependency suitable accommodation.
And the company wants to create lodges close to the house to give a feeling of independence while still preserving the ability to call on specialist care and facilities when the need should arise.
The idea is to site 10 two-bedroom lodges, which would cater for one patient and one member of staff.
There will also be a new hub building, with communal facilities, including a hydrotherapy spa and seven extra car-parking spaces on site.
