Help keep Grace’s legacy alive at museum

A north Northumberland museum, telling the story of one of the county’s heroines, is on the hunt for new volunteers.

The RNLI Grace Darling Museum, founded in 1938, tells the story of a young girl who risked her life to rescue others from certain death in a terrible storm.

The museum is looking to fill two volunteer roles to help them keep her legacy alive.

Education volunteers are needed to assist with the large number of schools and adult groups that visit.

Volunteers do not need to be experts, just people who have some experience of working with children and/or the ability to engage with them on their level.

Front-of-house volunteers are also needed to welcome visitors and be involved in relaying information and providing an excellent level of customer service.

Visit www.rnli.org/volroles for more information or to apply.
