The delighted headteacher of Amble’s James Calvert Spence College has hailed the effort of her students after another pleasing collection of A-Level results.
Grades were up for the fourth year running and the school was up 29 percentage points overall from 2013. The pass rate, from A* to E, was 100 per cent.
Toasting the success of the pupils, executive headteacher Christine Graham said: “We are very pleased with the results and the students have done very well. There is a good number of A* to B grades.
“The results in the sciences, as well as maths, are really positive. We had some good scores in English, as well as subjects such as art and sociology. Philosophy has exceeded targets.”
