French chef supports Army

A TV celebrity, dubbed the nation’s favourite French chef, will be backing the Jam Jar Army when he comes to Alnwick this weekend.

Alnwick Food Festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday and special guest Jean-Christophe Novelli is returning to the event.

The Jam Jar Army is the charity for the event so jam jars ready for your change should be out and about in the Market Place.

And on top of this, Jean-Christophe has said he will help boost the funds further.

Anyone who wants to have their photograph taken with the French chef will be asked to make a donation to the Army.

Last year at the Food Festival, Jean-Christophe’s generosity helped bring in more than £1,000 for the then Jam Jar Army charity, HospiceCare North Northumberland.
