Flood closes Warkworth road

Police are urging motorists to be careful when out on the roads this morning due to heavy rainfall overnight.

The A1068 is currently closed at Warkworth and a number of other roads across the region are affected by flooding and standing water.

Officers are advising motorists to allow extra time for their journey, make sure they leave plenty of distance from the vehicle in front and avoid driving into standing water where possible.
