The Jam Jar Army may have moved on to the Stephen Carey Fund but dogs at SHAK still need to find homes.
Finlay, the emaciated lurcher, arrived at SHAK at the start of 2014 in a dreadful condition.
He went home with a volunteer to give him time to recover from neglect and slept solidly for the first three days.
Finlay is about two years old, sweet-natured and loves being petted. He loves walks and although nervous at first, he soon makes friends.
It is thought Finlay has suffered some beatings and he takes himself off to his den, in a crate, whenever he feels insecure.
Stealing food is his only fault but this is not unusual in a previously starved dog or a lurcher!
Ideally Finlay would be best suited to a home that already has a dog as he does love doggie company but he hasn’t met any children so will not be rehomed with any.
