Fast-selling houses are just a click away

An Alnwick-based estate agent is proving that houses can still be sold quickly, even in today’s difficult property market.

Town and City Estate Agents has been officially recognised by Home.co.uk as the fastest selling estate agent in NE66.

The firm regularly sells property within 28 days – not just locally, but nationwide, and all from one office at Cawledge Business Park.

Recently the company, which employs five people, sold a house in Wiltshire within 24 hours of the instruction being received from the seller.

Director Karen Parker said: “The way that houses are bought and sold has changed dramatically in recent years.

“Nine out of 10 buyers no longer find their new home by trailing around high street estate agents.

“They are using huge property advertising websites like Rightmove and Zoopla where, after a simple search, they can view an online property brochure of any home for sale, anywhere in the UK.”

Town and City specialises in selling houses online, advertising on more than 200 property websites that attract in excess of 100 million homebuyer searches every month.

Once a buyer sees a property of interest, they contact Town and City to arrange a viewing.

Viewing requests are received daily for properties across the land.

Town and City’s senior valuer, Jonathan Keenan, said that operating nationwide from one office brings huge cost savings.

Town and City was established by property professionals Colin and Karen Parker in July but has expanded rapidly with experienced local estate agents Jonathan Keenan and Susan Parker joining the team.

The company also uses a local energy performance assessor for energy performance certificates and will soon be offering a low-cost conveyancing service in partnership with a local firm of solictors.

It is looking to develop further, nationally and locally.
