An ex-soldier who is walking the entire coast of the UK to raise awareness of post-traumatic stress disorder has reached Northumberland.

Eddie initially caught up with friends in the region, but has now resumed his trek and he travelled from Newbiggin up to Cresswell, Druridge Bay and Amble over the last couple of days.

Braving the harsh British weather and living out of a tent is not a new experience for Eddie, who used to live rough before he was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress.

He served in Bosnia during Operation Grapple when the British Forces provided a relief effort for civilians living in the war-torn country.

However, the horrific images of war and brutality made life difficult for him back in the UK.

The money raised from this challenge will go to Veterans Aid, a charity which takes in ex-servicemen off the street and provides them with shelter and warm meals. Visit www.justgiv ing.com/Eddie-Coast
